I created a level for a first person platformer game where the player takes on the role of a struggling alchemist who makes his way to an abandoned wizard's tower to find forgotten secrets. The level include potions the player can use to traverse the world, journals left behind by the wizard that tell the story of what happened to him, and 3 paths leading to an alchemy room at the end of the level.

What Went Right

LDD Planning - Before I even started my blockmesh for this project, I took the full Week 1 planning and thinking about a project that would stay within my own scope. I found that later down the road, because I had done the proper preparation, I was able to cut out some things that were secondary to the main mechanics I had planned.
